1. Who this policy covers
- Visitors to weareown.agency, including people who sign up for early access.
- Our clients and their staff, when we work together.
- People whose data reaches us through our clients' marketing accounts. We handle that data on our client's behalf (see section 4).
2. What we collect from you directly
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name and email when you sign up or contact us | To reply, and to send updates you asked for | Consent (you can withdraw it at any time) |
| Business contact details of clients and prospects | To deliver and manage our services | Contract, or our legitimate interest in running our business |
| Basic technical data from our website (e.g. browser and device type, pages visited) | To keep the site working and secure | Legitimate interest |
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
3. Our platform and the accounts you connect
We run our clients' marketing through our own platform. When a client connects an account to it, we access that account only to do the work the client has asked for. The accounts are: - an advertising account: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Amazon Ads or ChatGPT Ads; - an online store, such as Shopify.
That work is: - Reporting results: reading campaign performance data such as spend, reach, clicks and conversions. - Running campaigns: creating campaigns, and changing them only with the client's approval. - Sales figures: reading order totals and whether an order is a customer's first, so we can measure what the advertising achieved.
From an online store we keep no names, emails, phone numbers or addresses. We keep order-level figures only, plus a one-way coded reference to the customer, so we can tell new customers from returning ones without knowing who they are.
Google user data
When we access Google Ads accounts through Google's APIs, we use that data only to report on and manage the client's advertising, as described above. We don't use it for any other purpose, don't sell it, and don't share it with anyone except the client it belongs to. We don't use it to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. When we act for our clients
For data that comes from a client's own accounts, the client is the data controller and we are its processor. We act only on their instructions, under a written agreement. To ask about that data, contact the business you dealt with; we'll help them answer.
5. Who we share data with
We use trusted providers to run our services, under contracts that protect your data: - cloud hosting and databases (Google Cloud, Supabase); - email delivery; - AI services that help us write and analyse marketing material.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we use the UK's approved safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
- Early-access sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
- Client account and performance data: for as long as we work together, and up to 3 years after, for reporting and benchmarking, unless the client asks us to delete it sooner.
- Store order figures: deleted on request, including when the store owner removes our app.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to: - see the personal data we hold about you; - correct it, or have it deleted; - restrict or object to how we use it; - have it moved to another provider.
Email hello@weareown.agency. We'll reply within one month.

8. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work.
9. Changes
